A big feature of a toy is that the joints of the toy are fixed; the arms and legs are confined to move in a few specific directions, thus unable to move freely. Creating a sense of 'rigid' and 'confined' is important for Toyman. Lets us start from basic shall we?

  • Basic OGs like Poppin' Pete and Skeeter Rabbit once created a video to shared their origianl concept for the elelment toyman orignated from Toyman Ski.

You may realize that Toyman differs from the elements we previously shared; it is not a specific set of movements. Instead, it is a style that allows you to wield your imagination. However, a few basic movements can help you establish your imagination.

  • Variations (some good combination of toyman movements)

As I previously expressed, the movement do not need to be complicated. Some simple combination can be highly visually effective:

  • Tips for practicing:

  • Imagination is important in performing. You need to put your body into a toy to perform like a toy.

  • Do some simple movements. They do not need to be complicated.

  • Separation: Move one part of your body at a time.

  • Examples and applications:

A really good example here: Toyman shows that some popping movements can create a great visual effect without requiring the practice of muscular popping.

As always. JRock looks great.
